You must be a UK resident aged 18 years or over to take out an AirPods insurance policy through Protect Your Gadget. Gadget owners under the age of 18, that live in the same household as the policy holder, will need a parent or other carer to purchase a policy on their behalf.
All of our policies will automatically cover you for accidental damage.
Cover is only provided in cases where an AirPods is damaged to the point where routine functionality has been lost. If it is dented or scratched, for example, but still works as expected then repair or replacement will not be provided.

Multi-device insurance provides cover for multiple specified gadgets. The gadgets can be owned or used by just yourself, or immediate family living at the same address - at home or away. Multi-gadget policies are ideal for families with children who use their gadgets on school trips, or where the children are students living away from home. Cover is included as standard for immediate family, including those under 18.
We may ask you to provide one or more of the following to help us process your claim.
Proof of Ownership
You must provide evidence to show that you own the gadget.
The document must include the make, model and IMEI (in respect of mobile phones) or serial number together with the date of purchase of the device and the business registration and taxation details.
Photographs of the Damage
Please provide photographs of your gadget (front/back and each side). These should be taken using another phone/camera. Please ensure that a front image is provided displaying the IMEI or serial number (where possible). To display the IMEI dial *#06#. Please also provide an image of each side and the back of your device.
Police Report
For Theft, loss and Malicious Damage Claims - you must notify the appropriate local Police authority within 24 hours of discovering the incident and obtain a Crime Reference / Lost Property number and a copy of the Police Crime Report.
