“But what about cosmetic damage?” we hear you cry. Unfortunately, dents and scratches that don’t stop your beloved Samsung from working won’t be covered. Cover is only provided in cases where a phone is damaged to the point where routine functionality has been lost. If it is dented or scratched, for example, but still works as expected then repair or replacement will not be provided.
If you have purchased our Protect Plus policy you'll be covered if you make a successful claim for theft and discover you have been charged for calls, texts or data as a result of someone else using your phone. Note that it's restricted to calls and data used within 24 hours of the theft and will also include fraudulent e-wallet transactions.
If you have taken the additional loss cover included in our Protect Premium policy then this benefit may also apply in the event you make a successful claim for loss. The SIM card will need to be registered to you or a family member for these charges to be covered.

You must register your claim as soon as possible from discovery of the incident (or in the event of an incident occurring outside of the United Kingdom, as soon as possible on returning to the United Kingdom).

For Theft, loss and Malicious Damage Claims - you must notify the appropriate local Police authority within 24 hours of discovering the incident and obtain a Crime Reference / Lost Property number and a copy of the Police Crime Report.
You'll also need to inform your network provider so they can block its usage.
You must be a UK resident aged 18 years or over to take out a gadget insurance policy through Protect Your Gadget. Samsung owners under the age of 18, that live in the same household as the policy holder, will need a parent or other carer to purchase a policy on their behalf.
