Tablets get into all kinds of merry mischief. Smashed screens, cracked cases, sticky fingers - just a few Oh No! moments it makes perfect sense to protect against.
We’ve got used to relying on our handy little electronic devices. If you’re a big reader off on holiday, never fear - you no longer have to lug 3 million books in your suitcase if you’ve got an e-reader. If you’re a busy parent with a screaming pack of toddlers hot on your heels, there’s nothing more handy than a tablet to distract them whilst you make your getaway.
Our tablets have become a super important part of daily life. They’re the first thing we reach for in the morning, and the last thing we see at night (through half closed eyes as a Netflix show plays on them in the background…), but they can get into all kinds of merry mischief. Smashed screens, cracked cases, sticky fingers - just a few Oh No! moments it makes perfect sense to protect against.

One minute it's a book, the next a jigsaw, then a film – yes, it's a tablet. Your tablet, no matter what make or model, does so much cool stuff that many of us would be lost without them.
Once you've stopped fighting over them with the kids, the tablet is one of the most widely used handheld devices at home and at work. Even the older generation are getting in on the act with more silver surfers preferring the tablet to the traditional laptop. They're light, compact, easy to use and always ready to go. We can't get enough of 'em!
Seriously though, the need to protect tablets and e-readers is more important than ever. Newer models with more features and bigger price tags are hitting the shops all the time. We're spending more on them, expecting more from them and taking them pretty much everywhere too (when we say everywhere, we really do mean everywhere!) Replacing a top of the range tablet can cost several hundred pounds. Ouchie… and the ways in which they can get damaged go on and on. Spilt drinks, clumsy kids, stood on by tiny dancers, sat on, dropped. To add to the terror, the cutting edge designs of the latest tablets make them a magnet for opportunist thieves.
Protecting your device with tablet insurance means you can go on and on relying on it, no matter what happens to it. Protect Your Gadget offers great policies, at a range of affordable price points, to ensure peace of mind that the cost and care of your tablet is covered at all times - wherever you are, whatever your situation. After all, what would you do without it?
Tablet insurance covers you for whatever happens to your beloved tablet or e-reader. If you take out insurance cover with Protect Your Gadget, you’ll be covered for accidental damage and for mechanical failure as standard.
“But what about cracked screens, ugly dents and big scratches?” We hear you cry. You can be covered for these if they stop your tablet from working, but cover is only provided in cases where a tablet or e-reader is damaged to the point where routine functionality has been lost. If it is dented or scratched, for example, but still works as expected then repair or replacement will not be provided.
Yes, your device will be covered at home and away.
You can make a claim online 24/7 via our online claims portal.

For Theft, loss and Malicious Damage Claims - you must notify the appropriate local Police authority within 24 hours of discovering the incident and obtain a Crime Reference / Lost Property number and a copy of the Police Crime Report.
If your tablet is on a network you'll also need to inform your network provider so they can block its usage.
